Congratulations! Booking a cake smash session is an exciting way to celebrate your little one’s first birthday. I recommend reaching out early to secure a date that works best for your family.
Once your Cake Smash session is booked, I’ll send over a contract and a Cake Smash Prep Guide to help plan wardrobe, cake style, location, and any props or special items you’d like to include.
Before your session, we’ll chat about cake flavors, colors, outfits, and any special details that are important to your celebration. I want to make sure your vision comes to life, and I’m always just a phone call away to answer questions and guide you through every step.

The big day is here! I’ll welcome your family into my studio with open arms, making sure everyone feels relaxed and comfortable.
We’ll start by capturing sweet portraits of your baby without the cake, focusing on their natural expressions and personality. Once those are complete, we’ll move on to the fun (and messy!) cake smash portion of the session.
I guide your little one gently through the session, capturing natural expressions, giggles, and messy moments, while making sure they feel safe, happy, and engaged. Sessions typically last between 30-45 minutes, with plenty of breaks if needed, so everyone can enjoy the experience. My goal is to make the session fun, stress-free, and completely tailored to your child and family.

Within one week of your cake smash session, you’ll receive a gallery with all the images we captured, minus duplicates.
You’ll then select the images included in your prepaid package for me to edit. Once the edits are complete—usually within another week—you’ll receive your final gallery, ready to download, share, and treasure.
This process is simple, stress-free, and ensures you have polished, timeless portraits that capture the joy, personality, and milestone of your little one’s first birthday.
